Take a look inside Bea’s home

Artifort fan Bea Kroeze submitted a selfie with her purple Tulip chair for the Artifans competition. The jury selected Bea as runner up so we visited her to award her with an Orange Slice Junior designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort.

Bea’s fan story

“I have been an Artifort fan since I was 2 years old. From that age me and a girlfriend must have turned hundred thousands of circles in the F454 (Tulip’s original name) at her grandmother’s place. From that moment I was set to own this chair when I was grown up.

It never left my mind, I kept fantasizing about a big Tulip in my favourite colour purple. Buying a new design classic was out of my reach so I searched for a second hand Tulip on the internet for years. About 10 years ago I finally bumped into MY Tulip chair: pale orange and in a lousy condition. She took my breath, my heart started beating faster. It was love at first sight. This chair was destined to be mine. And that’s what happened. I gave my Tulip a make-over and reupholstered her with a Kvadrad fabric in my favourite colour purple.

Since that time it’s my favourite place to sit and THE eye-catcher in my interior. Not a day has passed without me sitting and reading, reclining and watching television, laying and relaxing, or just turning around in my beloved, comfortable Tulip."

Orange Slice Junior

When handing out the Orange Slice Junior, we were greeted by Bea’s 2 year old son. He unwrapped his new chair and loved it immediately. The Junior design classic designed by Pierre Paulin is the colourful centrepiece of his new bedroom.
