Designers

Artifort and designers. How one and one makes three. For more than eighty years now, Artifort has provided major designers from home and abroad with the room to work on innovative designs. They forge together beauty, functionality and form to create a unity that favourably received throughout the world. The foundations of Artifort were laid by classic icons created by designers such as Kho Liang Ie, Pierre Paulin and Geoffrey D. Harcourt RDI. The current generation of renowned top designers such as Patrick Norguet, Khodi Feiz, René Holten, Monica Förster and many other designers are continuing the Artifort DNA.

Richard Hutten

For me, Artifort is one of the most beautiful Dutch furniture companies and is part of our national heritage. When I was asked to design something for Artifort, I considered it both an honour and a challenge. The quality of the designs dating from the 1960s in particular is very high. My aim was to match that level.

Richard Hutten (born in 1967 in Zwollerkerspel, the Netherlands) graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1991. In the same year, he launched his own design studio, in which he worked on a variety of projects in the fields of furniture, product, interior and exhibition design. He is one of the Netherlands’ most successful designers internationally, and Artifort is very proud to be able to work with him.
