“Design furniture can be a real eye-catcher in your interior. Since moving to our new home, I've been dreaming of a styled house, including design furniture. But why is it all so expensive?

Price breakdown

  • First of all, design furniture is made one piece at a time. All of the components in our armchair, like the frame and the base, are made separately. The fabric is also ordered separately. The moulds used to make our furniture are developed and manufactured entirely in-house.

  • Everything is assembled and stitched by hand. It takes at least four hours to upholster the Ribbon®. In other words: this is craftsmanship at its finest.

  • The designers affiliated with Artifort are internationally renowned artists in their own right, which means you can expect their designs to stand the test of time.

  • Design furniture can always be reupholstered, which means you're buying it for yourself and the next generation.

  • And if me or Martijn accidentally break or rip something on our armchair, it's covered under our five-year warranty.
