Relaunch of Geoffrey D. Harcourt’s classic F506 design from 1985. A mid-size armchair with smooth curves and a swivel function that offers comfortable seating and balances nostalgia with a contemporary spirit. The rounded shapes of the F506 guarantee comfort while the swivel base adds flexibility.

Finishes base
The steel base is optimised to today's ergonomics, and is finished in a textured powder coating.

As part of the prestigious furniture series designed by Geoffrey D. Harcourt, the Artifort F506 and F504 exude a sense of history, craftsmanship, and innovation. Family models include the Michigan chair (1968), F978 (1968), the F141-F142, and F154-F156 (1972, still available in the current Artifort collection).

Geoffrey D. Harcourt (1935) trained at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1962, he designed his first series of small office fauteuils for Artifort. His designs introduced Artifort to the international market for contract design. In the beginning, Harcourt designed mostly seats for reception areas. His first design for Artifort, the 042 series in 1963, was an immediate international success. His philosophy is that the chair should focus on the person and not the other way around. “First the person, then the chair.” Harcourt has won many prizes and in 1978 was awarded the title of "Royal Designer for Industry".
