The Pala armchair and matching footstool are fully upholstered. The internal solid wire steel frame is covered with molded foam.

Choice of two versions: Pala with a fixed base or swivel base.

Upholstery possible in various fabrics.

Two-tone upholstery or upholstery with a black leather trim around the contour of the shell is optional.

The Pala collection consists of an fully upholstered armchair (Pala), an armchair with a swiveling pedestal (Pala Giro), a matching footstool (Pala P) and a matching side table (Pala T).

Duo-tone upholstery is available in two colours of one fabric type. The innerside of the shell will be upholstered in one colour, and the shell in an other colour. Optionally, a black leather trim (Artifort Ox # 5300 Black) can be added around the contour of the seat shell.

Pala has a complementing footstool and side table. These are not rotatable. The footstool is upholstered in textile. Duo-tone upholstery within one fabric type is an option. The top of the footstool has a different colour than the base of the upholstered footstool.

The Pala side table has an upholstered base and a solid oak table top. The table top is finished in a standard Artifort oil colour. Click on the drop-down menu to select a colour.

Designed by Luca Nichetto

Luca Nichetto (1976, Venice) is an industrial designer who began his professional career as a glass maker and later became a product designer and consultant for lightning company Foscarini. In 2006 he founded his eponymous studio in Venice. In 2011, he moved to Stockholm, Sweden, to start his family and opened a second studio there, combining his Italian flair with the Swedish spirit of modernity and sustainability.

Over the years, Nichetto has served as art director for many international design brands and gained a reputation as a multidisciplinary designer. He has lectured and led workshops at several universities, including serving as a professor of design at the IUAV, and has sat on juries for various international design competitions. His work is often featured in prestigious exhibitions worldwide and has been the subject of retrospectives in cities including London, New York and Beijing. His highly researched, innovative projects have earned him an impressive array of international awards for designs that range from products, accessories and furniture to architecture, exhibition design and branding.
