Peek inside

Explore the homes of well-known interior bloggers

The writers behind Zilverblauw, Oh Marie!, &SUUS, Vosgesparis and The Nice Stuff Collector recently went behind the Artifort scenes. After touring Artifort’s production locations, the bloggers had the opportunity to choose their own Artifort piece. They could also choose the colors of the fabric and powder coat finishing, so the furniture matches their interior. Peek inside and discover the different pieces, styles and interiors.

‘A few weeks ago, our Artifort bank (the C683 designed by Kho Liang Ie in 1968) was delivered. In my previous blog post about the visit to the Artifort factory, I was already excited about this collaboration. It is so special to have this sofa, that I have been admiring for years, customized for us.

I was a little nervous about how the bold colors (green powdercoated frame and light blue upholstery) would work out, but we are só happy with our new sofa. It's sofa for life, a design classic we never want to lose.’

Oh Marie!

'A few months ago, Anki, Suus, Theo-Bert and Désiree and I visited Artifort's production locations. After a relatively short production time, we welcomed our new, amazing and beautiful Bras sofa designed by Khodi Feiz in 2014.

I choose a burgundy Artifort Selecte fabric (color number 680) and last minute I went for pink (RAL 3015) legs. After that, I worried for a couple of weeks if pink and burgundy was going to be terribly hysterical, but it works really well together. It gives the sofa va-va-voom!

And then there was a true Dutch Design classic in our home. The Orange Slice®, designed by Pierre Paulin in 1960, by Artifort. I was a little nervous when the armchair arrived. When choosing from the Artifort showroom, I couldn't decide between two chairs. Eventually I went for the classic Orange Slice®. I like simple designs and round shapes, and this chair has two identical shells, which makes the seat come together.

Now that I had selected the chair, I had to pick out the upholstery and legs. The legs were easy. Powdercoated in matte black, matching our black wall and black details. Now a more difficult choice .... the  fabric! Our house is fairly neutrally furnished. As we like to change colors, clothes, pillows etc, the base consists of a wooden floor, white walls and a gray sofa. That's why this special chair deserved a color, so I choose the coral pink-orange Artifort Selecte 520 Salmon. It makes our living room more cheerful.’

‘Last week a large package was delivered to our home. I immediately recognized the amazing Mushroom® designed by Pierre Paulin in 1960 for Artifort. A true design classic that I can add to our home, awesome!

Whether it's because of the color or not, I feel like a king sitting in this Mushroom® ;-). I love the color orange and I have different shades of orange at my house, but the real eye catcher is this new armchair. The Kvadrat fabric is perfect for my Mushroom®.’

Vosgesparis

After my Artifort factory and showroom visit I got to choose my own Artifort product and being a fan of the industrial stools by Studioilse it was not a really difficult choice. I picked Perching, designed by Studioilse for Artifort in 2016.

Besides them being really beautiful and totally fitting my home, I love my furniture being flexible, as it gives me the opportunity to use it everywhere around the home. I have different tables and they would easily fit my dining table, workspace or on the patio. Perching has hand-stitched leather saddles over a simple wire frame and comes in different colors.
