A library transformed into a living knowledge hub
For the Flemish Parliament, Artifort partner Forum Office reimagined the existing library as a contemporary information centre where research, study and exchange converge in a spatial experience defined by clarity, calm and functionality. The key challenge was to organise a wide range of information sources within a clear and intuitive spatial structure. Through carefully designed floor zoning, bespoke solutions and clear signage, visitors are now guided effortlessly towards focused research and consultation areas. Artifort plays a defining role in shaping the spatial experience, where each seating and table solution contributes to a continuous landscape of work, pause and focused reading.

, complete with integrated side tables and charging points, is positioned alongside the coffee corner, anchoring a relaxed setting. Here, reading and short breaks flow naturally into one another, reinforcing the centre’s informal rhythm of use. Within the reading landscape, the
Glider armchairs
introduce a more intimate layer. Their generous proportions and soft, embracing form create dedicated moments of quiet concentration. On the opposite side of the centre, the atmosphere shifts towards even greater enclosure and acoustic calm. The
