"Caught in the act! Reading in my all-time favorite chair. I am pretty sure I am one of the biggest Artifort fans! Not for the full 125 years ;-) but surely since I was 2 years old. From that age me and a girlfriend must have turned hundred thousands of circles and had lots of fun in probably a F454 at her grandmother’s place. From that moment I was pretty sure such an amazing chair definitely should be mine when I am grown up. This chair never left my mind, I kept fantasizing about a Big Tulip in my favorite color purple. Buying such a new design classic was out of my reach so I’ve been looking for it for years and years on Marktplaats. About 10 years ago I finally bumped into MY Big Tulip chair: pale orange and in a lousy condition. She took my breath, my heart started beating faster. It was love at first sight. This chair was destined to be mine. And that’s what happened. I gave my Big Tulip a make-over  and recoated her with a Kvadrad in my favorite color purple. Since that time it’s absolutely my favorite place and THE eye-catcher in my interior. And not a day has passed without me sitting and reading, reclining and watching television, laying and relaxing, or just turning around in my beloved, comfortable Big Tulip."
